Production Statistics 

   NASS This annual full-text report presents data on area, production, volume of sales, price per pound, value, and number of growers of mushrooms by variety (Agaricus and specialty types), type of production media, selected states and U.S., utilization for U.S., and intentions for the coming year. Data for this report was obtained from grower surveys sent to all known commercial mushroom producers. 

USDA/NASS to Conduct Annual Mushroom Survey - HARRISBURG, PA – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service is again conducting the Mushroom Inquiry to document the past growing year. In the Northeast, all mushroom growers in Maryland and Pennsylvania will be contacted about growing area, production, and value of sales for the growing year of 2018-2019, as well as growing intentions for the coming year. It is important that all mushroom growers participate in the Mushroom Inquiry so that accurate statistics on the mushroom industry are published. Mushroom statistics are used to help support the industry in many ways. All individual operation information is kept confidential and protected from freedom of information act requests. See More
